Brew .. No no no no ... This is a Martini thread, man up!

Classic vodka/gin martinis taste like hairspray right? So let's modify that old recipe to be a tad gentler and smoother. Try this revision to a classic:

Wromper's Too Many Ingredient Classic Vodka Martini
    ------
1.5oz - Kettle One Vodka (yes, ohh so smooth)
0.5oz - Belvedere, Russian Standard, Chopin or other flavorful vodka (NOT flavored vodka, big difference)
0.5oz - Dry Vermouth (buy anywhere)
splash - Blanco Vermouth (for a touch of sweetness)
2 large olives or 3 small olives (just get them out of the jar and put in, dont add extra juice unless you like it dirty. try feta or blue cheese olives)

As always, shake VERY VERY well for a while to water it down a bit. Enjoy.

For those Bourbon lovers ... here is my twist on a classic Manhattan

    Wromper's Uptown Funk
    ---------------------
1oz - Your favorite straight bourbon (Makers, Haydens, Knob, etc)
1oz - Sweeter bourbon (such as Jim Bean or Southern Comfort)
1/3oz - Cherry juice (try to avoid the crappy Maraschino stuff if you can)
    1/3oz - Sweet Vermouth
1/3oz - Triple Sec (better quality gives better taste)

As always, shake VERY VERY well for a while to water it down a bit. Enjoy.

I like this thread, even though I'm not a big martini drinker. I'm a big Southern Comfort fan so I would go with that on the second. I'll have to try these. I keep forgetting to get some vermouth from the liquor store.
I don't always drink, but when I do...I drink the whole bottle.
