    Steak Topping

    Topping for red meat. Quick easy and classic Steak topping. You can always through some Caramelized onions in there as well for little different taste and texture.

    1 c. Sour Cream
    1 c. Mayo
    4 c. Gorgonzola
    1 ½ c. Bacon Rough Chop
    ½ c. Worestsiour
    2 tsp Granulated Garlic
    2 tsp Black Pepper
    2 tsp Onion Salt

    Put all ingredients into a mixing bowl and fold together

    You can melt this on top (it is recommended but not needed)

    The only thing I ever use for topping steak is a little butter and salt. Keep the taste of the steak pure. Also never cook steak more than Medium at best, anything in the well done range is a crime against the meat.

    A true crime against the meat is when people cook it to the consistency of shoe-leather, then drown it in steak sauce to 're-add the flavor' that was cooked out. As for toppings, to each their own, but I prefer a bit of a garlic-parmesan sauce with black pepper.

    Completely agreed. a little salt and pepper is the only thing you really need. S and P is the choice for me

    When i make mistakes I use a lot of salt because salt makes my steaks taste great.

    I'm currently on the hunt for a good homemade rub for steak.
    Usually the lower the quality of steak the more flavouring/marinade it needs.

    I like blue cheese crumbles, I like a simple mayo/soy sauce/onion powder dip, I like bearnaise. The OP concoction sounds really good and imma have to try that - maybe this weekend!!

    And I agree on nothing more than medium. Medium rare is preferable.
